PHONE AND CELLULAR
The communications are an important part nowadays in the society through that we live, inventions like the telephone and the cellular form a part of each of the habitants of certain community, it( is because of it that is interesting to know about its inventors: Antonio Meucci (creator of the telephone) and Dr. Martin Cooper (inventor of the cellular one)Martin Cooper born in Chicago, Illinois is considered the father of the mobile phone. Cooper is the CEO and founder of ArrayComm, a company that works on researching smart antenna technology and improving wireless networks, and was the corporate director of Research and Development for Motorola , Antonio Meucci was born in 1808 and studied design and mechanical engineering in the academy of Florencia's fine arts. Meucci I design a primitivedevice in order that the communication was easier in the Theatre della Pergola. In other hand, Bell Laboratories, introduced the idea of cellular communications in 1947. But Motorola and Bell Labs in the sixties and early seventies were in a race to incorporate the technology into portable devices. Cooper, now 70, wanted people to be able to carry their phones with them anywhere. While he was a project manager at Motorola in 1973, Cooper set up a base station in New York with the first working prototype of a cellular telephone, the Motorola Dyna-Tac. After some initial testing in Washington for the F.C.C., Mr. Cooper and Motorola took the phone technology to New York to show the public. But, on the contrary, Meucci did not have so good luck as Cooper, In the decade of 30s transfer to Cuba to deepen its knowledge in treatments to calm ailments with electrical shocks and was there where it discovered the possibilities of transmitting sounds through copper cables. Thinking about the potential of this new discovery, about 1850 transfer to Staten Island near New York to be developed and to perfect this technology. In 1860 his invention it was published in a newspaper for the Italian community that already circulated in New York and for 1862 tapeworm but of thirty models of his €œteletrofono€? and it had installed in his house, ensure communications with his wife who suffered of arthritis and hardly she could move. With the purpose of to collect money for materials, Meucci sold its prototypes to $6 dollars. But it was not possible to secure $250 dollars to him to patent his €œTelégrafo Parlante€. The unique thing that could do with the money that it had, was to leave a notification of renewable pending patent to a year and sadly three years later, it did not secure $10 dollars to renew it.finally, we see that these two inventors had great ideas but to one of them by the lack of money the recognitions were not made him in time, years later was that the necessary accreditation occurred.
